About Kelly Smith
The author of The First Horseman
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I have spent my life studying the scriptures. For more than forty years I have read from them every day. That habit, more than anything else, is what led to this book.
The First Horseman began at 3:30 on a December morning in 2021, when I felt inspired to get up and read the Book of Revelation. I did not know why. I only knew I had to read it. Eleven months later came an insight I can only call astonishing: I began to see how Donald Trump fits into the twelfth chapter of Revelation. Two years after that, more of that connection opened to me. And a year later still, I was shaken by what that chapter actually means for us in our day. Somewhere in the middle of it all, I felt impressed to write down what I was learning. This book, after many revisions, is the result.
I will not give it away here. That is what the book is for. What began as a single prompting in the dark became the most important thing I have ever studied, and I could not keep it to myself.
That is really all this is. One member of the Church, sharing what he has found in the scriptures, in the hope that it helps someone else see what is coming and be ready for it.
There are a few things I want to be plain about, because they matter to me.
Everything in this book points to Jesus Christ. He is the only Savior. Whatever roles men may play in the events ahead, every good thing comes through Him, and nothing I have written changes that or competes with it.
This is my own study, not the doctrine of the Church. The Church speaks for itself, through living prophets and apostles who hold an authority I do not. I follow them. Where my understanding ever differs from theirs, theirs is right and mine is to be corrected.
And I am not asking anyone to take my word, or to treat this book as scripture. It is not scripture. It is one man's reading of scripture, nothing more. So do what I did. Open the scriptures themselves. Study them slowly and prayerfully. Seek your own confirmation. If what I have written is true, the Spirit will confirm it to you, and you will not need me at all. That is exactly how it should be.
I did not write this for attention or recognition. I wrote it because I believe I was asked to share it, and so I have. Thank you for being here, and for being willing to look.
If you have an honest question, I would be glad to hear it. You can send me a question here. And if you would like to read the book itself, in ebook or audiobook, it is right here.
