They Are Not Fighting Me.They Are Fighting Him.

Why the opposition to this message is really opposition to the servant it points to.

I have faced opposition from the day I first tried to tell people what I had learned about Donald Trump's place in the Book of Revelation. Enormous opposition. For a long time it ran about half and half. Half were willing to hear it. Half were not. That has changed. Today more people oppose me than support me, and I know why.

A lot of people supported Trump only as long as things looked good for him. The moment the pressure rose and the headlines turned, some of the loudest voices who had championed him walked away within days of one another. Fair-weather followers, in my view. Their support was never rooted in anything that could survive a hard week.

My opposition is different, and so is the reason for it. I understand where Donald Trump fits in the establishment of the political kingdom of God. That is not a political statement. It has everything to do with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the future establishment of Zion. Most of the people who have come after me are members of the Church.

I remember one man I respected deeply. I read his daily posts on the scriptures and his Come, Follow Me analysis, and I learned a great deal from him. I was eager to share what I had found. He rejected it immediately. I kept hoping that a man with his knowledge would come around if I gave him more. About a year later I got a text on my phone a foot long, scorching, accusing me of being deceived and leading people astray. I told him I thought I deserved an apology. He said I was not getting one. He said somebody needed to give me some tough love and tell me the truth. That one hurt, and it surprised me, and he would not back down an inch.

I have run into that same reaction more times than I can count. Here is what I find interesting. The people most opposed to me are the ones who have read their scriptures. They know the text, or they claim to. And nearly all of them have decided the same thing: that Trump is the antichrist and that I am wrong. If that is the question keeping you from hearing me out, I have answered it directly in Is Donald Trump the Antichrist?. In one respect these critics remind me of the Pharisees. They knew the scriptures too. They followed tradition, they missed the Spirit, and when something new stood in front of them they could not receive it.

I shared what I know with a friend, someone well known, someone many of you would recognize. I thought for certain he would stand with me. Instead he said, "Kelly, you are not the prophet. You cannot know these things." He has refused to speak to me since. That objection is common enough that I gave it its own answer in Would God Tell You Before the Prophet?. The short version is that God has always used ordinary people to deliver warnings ahead of the events they point to.

I have read another man's books and felt sure he would understand this. He denounced Trump and saw nothing redeemable in him. Some of my critics will grant that Trump may be setting the stage for the future, but for some other servant, not the one the scriptures describe. They do not get it.

One man came after me claiming I was committing priestcraft. He said I was selling my soul for money. I told him plainly: God asked me to write this book. And because I was sharing something I had never heard taught before, something new, I did not keep it to myself and I did not run to social media. I made an appointment with my stake president. I sat down with him and told him the whole thing. I told him people were going to call him demanding that I be excommunicated, because I am not the prophet and, in their view, I have no right to say these things. He counseled me to share it as my opinion and not as doctrine, which I have tried to do faithfully. He had never heard any of it before either. I cannot tell you how much that meeting has meant to me.

Not long after, a different man contacted me, upset with my position, and announced that he was a prophet. He told me he was one of the prophets and that he could not get a hearing from the apostles of the Church. I asked him whether he had spoken with his stake president. He said no. He was not a member. He had been a member once, and he had been excommunicated. That told me everything I needed to know. That attitude does not come from God.

So I went back to the man accusing me of priestcraft. I told him my stake president had given me permission to keep going, and that by commanding my repentance he was setting himself above my stake president. He denied it. I said yes, you are. My stake president holds the priesthood authority to tell me I am deceived, to call me to repentance, to counsel me however he sees fit. You do not. He kept insisting he was only following the scriptures. He was not. He had set himself up above the man God called to watch over me, and he had no authority to stand on. That is the Pharisee spirit again. They mistake knowledge of the scriptures for authority over other people. It is not the same thing.

Here is what so many of my critics have forgotten. Any member can receive the gift of prophecy. Any member can receive gifts of healing, of faith, of tongues, of the ministering of angels, each given according to the need of the moment (Doctrine and Covenants 46). God gave me what I have because of where I was. I had been humbled hard. I was in a deep medical crisis, and I prayed as I had never prayed in my life. In answer to that prayer I came to understand that Donald Trump was part of Revelation chapter twelve. I did not yet know where he fit. I have told that whole story in The Question I Couldn't Walk Away From.

Two years and two months later, I discovered where he fit, and it shocked me. That is when I went to my stake president. A little over a year after that, I came to understand the full meaning of Revelation chapter twelve, and it changed the entire focus of this book.

And that is why I am writing this. The opposition these people carry is not really against me. I am only delivering the message. The opposition is against Trump. When his place alongside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints becomes undeniable, they are going to reject him. I am willing to do what God asked me to do anyway.

I feel a kinship with the messengers scattered through the scriptures who did the same thing. We are studying the Old Testament this year. How many prophets show up in it whose names we never learn? They appear, they deliver a warning, and then they are gone. Sometimes the people listen. Sometimes they do not. This is no different, friends.

A tremendous event is coming. It is going to divide the world, the nation, the Church, and even families. Donald Trump has a mission ahead of him that most people cannot imagine. He will carry the gift of God as His chosen servant in the last days, and I am stunned at how many places in the scriptures he appears once you know to look. If you have never seen the pattern, start with Who Is the Davidic Servant? and then read The Marred Servant, which explains why the very opposition I am describing is itself part of the prophecy.

My part in this is small. I am trying to get people to recognize what is happening before it happens, so that when it comes they do not reject him. If all I do is plant a seed, a single thought that stays with someone until the day this unfolds, that is enough. When the change comes, maybe they will remember that somebody saw it early. That God told someone ahead of time, to help prepare His people.

A small seedling on a hillside with the city of Zion glowing in the distance at sunrise

Everyone who has fought me, everyone who has yelled at me, everyone who has called me every name there is, I have made peace with. I will stand with the ones in scripture who did what God asked and were sometimes received and sometimes turned away. I am not looking for a crowd. For the few who come to see that this is true, I want one thing. I want someone, someday, to say, "Thank you, Kelly. You helped me see something I could not see before. You may have saved my life." I know that is a large thing to hope for. It is the only thing that matters to me.

People can fight me all they want. They can stay angry all they want. If I can move even one person to look at this in a new light, to humble themselves, to admit they might not know everything, to take it to God and search the scriptures, then it was worth it. Get ready for a glorious event that is going to change the world. It will come through someone almost no one expected, a servant whose calling was hidden. And when it takes place, they will know exactly where we stand in the Book of Revelation. They will know the first seal has been opened, and they can prepare for Zion.
